People who know how to show love to another

People who know how to make another feel included in a group

People who don’t judge…no, who TRULY do not judge another person BEFORE getting to know them

People who gather just for the sake of gathering and being around each other

People who can talk about the things that are hard to talk about

People who can find a reason to laugh together

People who know how to help each other pick up the broken pieces of their lives, of a city, of a home, of a family or a friendship, or a career

…in other words…

People who don’t just say they love other people but find ways to SHOW it…

That’s a real community.

That’s New Orleans for me.
